Cruise NL Managing Director Katelyn Budgell says they are expecting 106,000 passengers and 59,000 crew this year.
Cruise NL is expecting another busy season after last year’s record breaking number of cruise ship visits. The association held a virtual annual general meeting yesterday. Managing Director Katelyn Budgell says last year the season kicked off May4th in St. John’s and closed November 1st in Corner Brook. Budgell says there will be 160 cruise calls around the province this year, which officially kicked off in Corner Brook during March with the first ever winter cruise visit. The season will close October 22nd in Corner Brook. Budgell says they are expecting 106,000 passengers and 59,000 crew this year. She Budgell says the focus this year is building and strengthening partnerships and the roll out of a strategic plan this fall.
