March is nutrition month….and nutrition starts with having access to healthy options. On this week’s edition of “the Plain Truth” on Bayfm, the guest was Megan Salter who is the Regional Food Animator for Western NL and the Northern Peninsula with Foodfirst NL. She says it’s a non-profit group with over 25 years experience leading programs and advocacy with a mission to advance everyone’s right to food in NL. Salter works closely with the Western Foodhub here in Corner Brook where orders are made online each week with local producers listing what they have available, which is different every week. Salter says they also support local small businesses.. She says there will be a Regional meeting on March 24th at 11 a.m. and anyone can register at foodfirstnl.ca.
