This is National Foster Families Month

    There are approximately 580 foster families providing safe and nurturing homes to children and youth who are experiencing complex and challenging circumstances.

    October is National Foster Families Month in Newfoundland and Labrador. This year's theme is “Foster Families: Nurturing Hearts and Strengthening Families." There are approximately 580 foster families providing safe and nurturing homes to children and youth who are experiencing complex and challenging circumstances. The month provides an opportunity to recognize foster families for their dedication to children. During this month, the association is holding training sessions and networking activities for foster families throughout the province.
