    Premier Tony Wakeham acknowledged the impact of the Legion on the social fabric of our province, saying “the Legion has supported veterans, strengthened communities and preserved the important legacy of remembrance in our province and throughout Canada.

    The Royal Canadian Legion was started in 1926 and branches have been the cornerstone of communities over the past 100 years offering support and a place to gather. Premier Tony Wakeham acknowledged the impact of the Legion on the social fabric of our province, saying “the Legion has supported veterans, strengthened communities and preserved the important legacy of remembrance in our province and throughout Canada. Today, that legacy continues to be carried forward by people of all ages.”
