CEO John Davis says the corporation is a separate company owned by the Chief and council.

The Qalipu Development Corporation is the commercial business arm of Qalipu First Nations. CEO John Davis says the corporation is a separate company owned by the Chief and council. He says their main goal is to look for business investments and seek commercial operations or ideas and to help develop them. He says one thing they’re working on now is wind energy. Davis says there are a lot of small Indigenous owned businesses in our territory. He says they want to make sure that any Qalipu member businesses are in a good position to receive benefits from projects when they start.
