Many of us remember the movie from the early nineties called, “Groundhog Day” Bill Murray stars as a cynical television weatherman covering the annual Groundhog Day event in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, but he becomes trapped in a time loop, forcing him to relive February 2 over and over again. Corner Brook’s Off-Broadway Players are putting the story to a musical at the Arts and Culture Center from November 13th -15th. Directed by Megan Collins, tells Bayfm’s Lenny Benoit, it’s just three weeks away. Nick Hamlyn stars as Phil Connors, the big city weatherman in town for the event, and says he’s having a blast with this.
All three shows are 2 and a half hours long starting at 7:30 p.m.
