It's in an area between Parson's Pond and Daniel's Harbour. The Central Development Association now has to identify any overlaps, provide digital mapping of the trail and avoid sand dunes.

An environmental report (EPR) is needed before government will approve a proposal for work on the Great Coastal Trail from Parson’s Pond to Daniel’s Harbour. The Central Development Association now has to identify any overlaps, provide digital mapping of the trail and avoid sand dunes. The proponent is required to submit plans for a Short-eared Owl survey, as well as plans for contingency, management, waste management, and an environmental protection plan. An Environmental Assessment Committee (EAC) has been appointed to provide scientific and technical advice to the minister and to prepare guidelines to advise the proponent of the information to be included in an EPR. The public will be invited to provide comments on the EPR upon its submission.
