Various agencies were on scene to assist with the rescue.
RCMP say a 17 year-old female was taken to hospital in Corner Brook to be treated for injuries while swimming at Steady Brook Falls. Police got the call shortly before 8:30 pm on Sunday. Bay of Islands Search and Rescue, Steady-Brook Little Rapids Fire Department, and Western Health paramedics responded to the call and transported the teen to hospital with minor injuries.

Officers located Neal Peddle inside the residence. He’s facing charges that include assault with a weapon, forcible confinement and being unlawfully in a dwelling.
