Project Manager Mary Perez says Grenfell’s Art Gallery is also part of this series, trying to demystify the business of being an artist with topics like business cards using the laser cutter, and it will be led by art students.
If you’ve been meaning to sort out things like taxes, websites, or business cards—but your brain says “no thanks”—this is totally for you. There is a free event starting 7 o’clock tonight at the Centre for Research and Innovation on Mill Road here in Corner Brook. Project Manager Mary Perez says Grenfell’s Art Gallery is also part of this series, trying to demystify the business of being an artist with topics like business cards using the laser cutter, and will be led by art students
The event is called, “Session 1 of Art Brain / Business Brain,” and Perez says while it’s targeted towards artists, this can be beneficial to others, like those thinking of starting a business. Perez the CRI is here for the community and contains maker spaces that have a lot of tools that people can avail of, like wood and metal equipment, a router. Welding equipment, a 3-d printer, and other digital fabrication tools.
Perez says tonight’s stations are designed to build new skills and resources and templates will be provided afterwards. A second session will be held in March. For more information email cri@cricornerbrook.ca
