A Whitbourne woman was peeling potatoes when she found out she could be a millionaire. What started off as a regular Sunday morning preparing a family supper took an unexpected turn when Tracy Winsor’s husband noticed a news article about someone in the area winning $1 million online on a Lotto 6/49 ticket through the $1-million Gold Ball draw. Turns out she did buy a ticket and when she checked it, Tracy started to cry. Saying she “went to the store and got some champagne, " There were a lot of emotions and we were very much excited, ” the couple waited until later that day to tell their six children. Meanwhile, the timing for the win couldn’t have been better, since the engine in their truck died just two days before. In the longer-term, Winsor said the prize money will provide her family with an added level of security, being debt-free and able to start planning for retirement. “We’ll be debt-free and we can definitely start planning for retirement,”
