Students are invited to apply for the 2026 Research Inspired Student Enrichment (RISE) Awards

    The RISE Awards will support up to 20 Level II high school students who demonstrate academic excellence in the STEM disciplines of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

    Applications are now being accepted for the 2026 Research Inspired Student Enrichment (RISE) Awards.  The RISE Awards will support up to 20 Level II high school students who demonstrate academic excellence in the STEM disciplines of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Selected students will get tuition, accommodations and travel to attend research-related programs either at the Research Science Institute at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Boston Leadership Institute in Wellesley, Massachusetts, or the Da Vinci Engineering Enrichment Program (DEEP)/CREATE at the University of Toronto. Students must have a minimum average of 90 per cent in each Level II course and have completed a minimum number of courses in science and mathematics. The application deadline is midnight on December 19th for students completing Level II by June.
