Gregory MacPhee now faces charges of theft and failure to comply with his release order.
Bay St. George RCMP arrested a 32-year-old man Tuesday morning after a theft from a retail store in Stephenville. Cpl Jesse O’Donaghey says Gregory MacPhee now faces charges of theft and failure to comply with his release order. He says an employee at the store on Main Street reported the man leaving with unpaid items, provided a description and video surveillance.
MacPhee has been charged with two counts of theft under $5,000, multiple counts of failure to comply with probation order, conditions of a release order and an undertaking, and fraudulently obtaining transportation. O’Donahghey says this is the second time he’s been arrested in less than a week. He was also arrested over the weekend in relation to a separate theft at a business on Queen Street on Friday. His next court appearance in that matter is scheduled for December.
