Stephenville man charged with impaired after single vehicle crash in Black Duck Siding

    Cpl Jesse O’Donaghey says Bay St. George RCMP got a call shortly before 10 p.m. on Tuesday that a vehicle had gone over an embankment into a ditch.

    A 65-year-old Stephenville man is facing an impaired driving charges after a single vehicle crash Tuesday night near Black Duck Siding. Cpl Jesse O’Donaghey says Bay St. George RCMP got a call shortly before 10 p.m. that a vehicle had gone over an embankment into a ditch. Police located the uninjured driver at the scene, who showed signs of impairment and confirmed that he had been drinking. He failed a roadside breath test and then blew well over the limit at the detachment. The vehicle was seized by police and the man has a court date in February.
