This means no watering lawns, washing vehicles, have short showers and limit laundry to full loads only.
A state of emergency and water conservation order remains in effect in Hughes Brook. An advisory was first issued on September 22nd asking residents to conserve water in light of low levels at the dam. A few days later, council declared the state of emergency, which has been in effect for nearly two weeks. Water levels have dropped significantly over the last few days and residents are reminded of the legal obligations to conserve water. This means no watering lawns, washing vehicles, have short showers and limit laundry to full loads only. Water shutoffs are continuing every weeknight from 9pm to 6:30am, weekdays from 9am to 3pm and weekends from 9am to 4pm.
