Three people were taken to hospital on Tuesday after a collision near Saint Lunaire-Griquet. RCMP say it happened just after 8 p.m. on Route 436 and involved a passenger car and a sport utility vehicle (SUV). When police arrived on the scene, emergency crews were working to free the occupants trapped in one of the vehicles. Both drivers and one passenger sustained what police believe to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries. One of them has since been airlifted to St. John’s for advanced medical care and treatment.
