Shortly after 2 o’clock Saturday morning, St. John’s RNC arrested a 29-year-old man who refused to stop and was wanted on an outstanding warrant. Police saw a vehicle travelling at an extremely high rate of speed in the area of Bay Bulls Road. RNC put the lights and siren on but the driver sped up and would not stop. The vehicle was located a short time later parked on a nearby side street. The driver has been charged with flight from police and was issued a speeding ticket and his licence was suspended. Police impounded the vehicle.
