Spokesperson Damien Power says bins for drop off will be available at four different grocery locations; Dominion, Sobeys and both Colemans
The Corner Brook Bay of Islands Foodbank Network will be hosting their “Spring into action” food drive today (Thursday). Residents are asked to donate food items to help stock the shelves for the season. Spokesperson Damien Power says bins for drop off will be available at four different grocery locations; Dominion, Sobeys and both Colemans stores. Power says the price of groceries is increasing but there are other reasons people need help, like being cash strapped. Money donations are used to buy fresh fruit, meat, milk and eggs. Cereal, peanut butter, pasta and sauce, canned fruit, as well as macaroni and cheese are items of need.
