Curbside pickup as part of the annual spring clean up in Corner Brook this year will be by appointment only. At Monday’s public meeting council announced details of the program which gives residents the opportunity to get rid of bulk household items. Aaron O’Brien is the Assistant Director of Engineering, Development and Operational Services. He says those who do not set an appointment will not have waste picked up. Appointments can be made between March 13th and April 13th by calling 637-1666. Curbside pickup will take place for four weeks starting April 20th. Assistant Director Andrew Miller says this is two weeks earlier than last year to allow work scheduling on things like street sweeping, road repairs and the construction season. Corner Brook residents can also drop off bulk household garbage at the Wildcove landfill from May1st-11th and the city will pay the fees.
