There will be a special fundraiser in Corner Brook next month to help support a fine musician and friend to many.
On October 12th, some of the best local musicians will hit the stage at the Grove and Garden in support of Jimmy Solo. His time as a professional musician is coming to an end after an unfortunate series of health issues. With serious health challenges and upcoming surgery in St. John’s funds raised will help with his travel and accommodations. One of the organizers, Angela Brown says the past year or two have been tough for Jimmy and his wife. She says Jimmy gave so much back to the community volunteering his time and talent, and is well known in the musician circle. Brown once played in a band with Jimmy, called “the Charmers,” and will perform at the event, which she says includes a long list of local talent
