Artistic Producer, Nicholas Leno, says they’re reviving a festival classic; Rhonda Payne’s Stars in the Sky Morning is returning with a much-loved story about life on the Great Northern Peninsula, as told through the lens of women who lived it.
Theatre Newfoundland Labrador (TNL) has announced details of the annual Gros Morne Theatre Festival season. The 2026 season includes 6 shows running from June 4th to September 13th. Artistic Producer, Nicholas Leno, says they’re reviving a festival classic; Rhonda Payne’s Stars in the Sky Morning is returning with a much-loved story about life on the Great Northern Peninsula, as told through the lens of women who lived it. He says the new show, Music on Main, will take you through a rock music era of Newfoundland and Labrador in the 90s and early 2000s. Leno says their biggest scale production will be a brand new play by Megan Gill Coles, Building Houses.
Other productions include One Foot Wet, Neddy Norris Night and Havin’ a Time with Daniel Payne. 2026 season details are available at www.theatrenewfoundland.com
