RCMP NL is reminding the public that “it is a criminal offence to harbour, or otherwise assist, an individual who is unlawfully at large.” 31 year old Tyler Bennett escaped custody from the West Coast Correctional Centre in Stephenville on Friday, June 14th. He had been remanded into custody by the court in relation to a number of criminal charges. A search has been ongoing since Friday and police say he may be hiding in the woods. Bennett is described as 5’8” tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He has a number of tattoos, including tattoos on his face and neck.
