RCMP Cpl Jesse O’Donaghey says snow started early on the east coast and road conditions are deteriorating
Parts of the province are getting a blast of winter weather today with a mixture of rain, snow and high winds. Environment Canada is forecasting 5cms of the white stuff with moderate to strong northeasterlies for the Corner Brook area. All schools in Corner Brook, the Bay of Islands, Pasadena, and Deer Lake closed for the day. RCMP Cpl Jesse O’Donaghey says snow started early on the east coast and road conditions are deteriorating, reminding motorists that snow means slow. He says Traffic Services Units are on the roads today but are taking extra precautions. Snow in the Corner Brook area should end tonight but another system is moving in on Friday bringing snow and blowing snow.
