School zone summer safety

    RCMP Cpl Jolene Garland says while school zones are in effect when school is in session, some places may have summer events and motorists need to be mindful.

    It’s summer time, school is out, and that means lots of little people are out and about. RCMP Cpl Jolene Garland says while school zones are in effect when school is in session, some places may have summer events and motorists need to be mindful. She says motorists should always expect the unexpected. School zones are in effect from September to June and also when schools are offering summer sessions.
