Saltwire files for creditor protection, owes $94 million

    SaltWire Network made the application in the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, according to court documents filed yesterday.

    Saltwire, which owns what used to be the Western Star in Corner Brook has filed for creditor protection and is reported to owe $94 million. About one third of that is owed to Fiera Private Debt, a third party lender.
