The process of applying for a criminal record check just got a little easier. Applications can be submitted online to the RNC in just a few short minutes. Cst Stephanie Myers says this new service allows users to create a profile, track the status of their application, and once complete, provides checks for download with two-factor authentication to share with requesting agencies directly. The new process has significantly reduced processing times because of the shift from traditional mail.
Myers says the online application service is available 24 hours a day from anywhere in Canada, providing a convenient and accessible option to request a record check. There are still traditional mail and drop-off options for those who cannot apply online.
