RNC issues arrest warrant for man accused of abducting his daughter and believe they are now in Egypt

    Ahmed Mohamed Shafik Abelfat Elgammal is wanted on charges of abduction in contravention of a custody or parenting order. 

    St. John’s RNC have issued an arrest warrant for a 36-year-old man in connection with the abduction of his daughter. Cst Stephanie Myers says this warrant is far reaching as the two are now believed to be in Egypt. She says police got a report during the evening of September 27th that the 5-year-old girl had been taken from the country by a person known to her. Ahmed Mohamed Shafik Abelfat Elgammal is wanted on charges of abduction in contravention of a custody or parenting order.  This is an active and ongoing investigation and the RNC is using all available resources to locate and confirm the safety of the child.
