RNC hand out over 100 tickets in the Corner Brook region this past long weekend

    The RNC were out in full force this past labor day weekend with over 100 tickets issued in the Corner Brook region mostly for speeding. Police also arrested one driver and one passenger in separate stops on outstanding warrants. Throughout the province, 334 tickets were issued for traffic offences in all jurisdictions. Seven vehicles were seized, and four driver’s licenses suspended. One motorist was charged with impaired driving. Enforcement focused on speeding, distracted, and impaired driving. Traffic checkpoints resulted in the detection of drivers operating without a license, those with outstanding fines, and unregistered vehicles.
