On Friday (November 21st, 2025) police stopped a vehicle in St. Georges and charged a 33-year-old Barachois Brook woman, who was on conditions not to occupy the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle.
RCMP Traffic Services West arrested four drivers and handed out multiple tickets on the west coast this past weekend. She was arrested for impaired driving and taken to hospital in Stephenville where blood samples were collected
A few hours later, while patrolling Prince Rupert Drive in Stephenville a 34-year-old Stephenville woman, was issued tickets for operating a vehicle without registration or insurance.
The next day, police stopped a vehicle traveling the Main Road in St. Georges. The driver, a 32-year-old Flat Bay man, was arrested for impaired driving and is due to appear in court at a later date.
Later that evening, in Port au Port, a 40-year-old was arrested for impaired driving breaching a release order, driving while suspended and no insurance.
On Sunday, police stopped an ATV on Steel Mountain Road in St. Georges. The driver, a 39-year-old St. Georges man was operating the ATV while prohibited from driving Canada-wide.
About 45 minutes later, a 40-year-old Stephenville man was stopped on Brook Street and handed tickets for a suspended driver’s licence, no registration and no insurance.
