The big game hunting season started in many parts of the province this past weekend. The RCMP is reminding hunters of safe and responsible hunting and firearms practices. Cpl Jesse O’Donaghey says safety is paramount and so is a trip plan. If you plan to hunt this season, RCMP Newfoundland and Labrador reminds you to be safe, be responsible and obey all relevant laws and regulations. This includes safe handling of your firearm and ensuring that you and your hunting party have a plan and prepare before you go.
