Deer Lake RCMP and Traffic Services West checked about 80 vehicles on Wednesday afternoon as part of National Impaired Driving Prevention Week. They also stopped drivers on Route 480 throughout the day. Officers were pleased that all drivers were operating sober, with valid licences, registration and insurance. He says it’s also a reckless and dangerous choice that can cause lifelong injury or death.
