The Qalipu First Nations Band opened an office in Stephenville today at 43 Main Street. Director of Operations Rod Bennett says there are about 10,000 members in the Bay St. George area who need help with things like medical claims and travel. He says there is also a cultural outreach officer. Bennett says having an office in the area will save members from having to travel to Corner Brook to get services. Members have to call ahead at 643-2539 to make an appointment.
