For members of the queer community on the west coast, having a safe place to be yourself is very important. Vinn Elliott is the co-director of Camp OHana, which they say started with two high schoolers and a middle schooler who just wanted more resources. Elliott says this will be the eighth year for the camp and this year they’re expanding to include an adult camp. They don’t get any government funding, so they will be hosting a fundraiser this Saturday to help with plans for camp. It’s called the “Pretty Sweet West Street Clothing and Decor Swap at Bennett Hall. The swap will open on Saturday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m and it’s pay what you can.
