Airport President and CEO Tammy Priddle says “Expanding access to the nation’s capital supports our community, businesses, government travelers, and the tourism sector.”
The Deer Lake Regional Airport Authority (DLRAA) is marking a significant expansion of air access for the west coast with a new, five-times-weekly service to Ottawa. Airport President and CEO Tammy Priddle says “Expanding access to the nation’s capital supports our community, businesses, government travelers, and the tourism sector.” Porter Airlines will launch it on June 10th, using their new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. Priddle says Porter Airlines continues to demonstrate confidence in their market and this new route enhances connectivity for residents and visitors and aligns strongly with their long-term air access objectives. Porter Airlines Vice-President Andrew Pierce says “Increased air service creates more choice for travelers and greatly supports tourism. People can more readily experience the east coast charm that Western Newfoundland is known for and explore the region’s beauty.” Meanwhile, the President and CEO at the Ottawa International Airport Authority Susan Margles, says “Porter Airlines’ new nonstop service between Ottawa and Deer Lake is another strong vote of confidence”
