Twenty-one bundles of roofing shingles were stolen from a commercial structure on Route 408 in Cape Ray.
Port aux Basques RCMP are looking for help from the public concerning two recently reported thefts. Police say the theft occurred sometime between the evening of October 12th and the next morning. Twenty-one bundles of roofing shingles were stolen from a commercial structure on Route 408 in Cape Ray. Also on October 12th, police received a report of a theft of a number of items from Matador Mining located on Gold Mine Road in Isle Aux Morts. RCMP say the theft could have occurred anytime since June 2023. Police say a propane stove, GE brand refrigerator, sections of countertops, shelving units, a bathroom vanity, two electric wall mounted heaters, three dehumidifiers, various small kitchen appliances and cutlery, and plastic folding kitchen tables with a number of folding plastic kitchen chairs.
