Police looking to speak to anyone who may have picked up a hitchhiker Tuesday night near Daniel's Harbour

    Port Saunders RCMP tried to stop a grey Buick sedan travelling south on Route 430 but the driver fled from police.

    Police are looking to speak to anyone who may have picked up a hitchhiker in the  Daniel’s Harbour area on Tuesday night. Port Saunders RCMP tried to stop a grey Buick sedan travelling south on Route 430 but the driver fled from police. A short time later, the vehicle was located in the ditch near the entrance to Daniel’s Harbour, in the vicinity of Bennett’s Lodge. The driver was not located, who police believe could have been picked up by another motorist, unaware of the incident.
