Police find more than a kilogram of cocaine at a Deer Lake home, one man and two youth arrested

    Yesterday, police found more than a kilo of cocaine, cell phones, cash and other items during the search of the Deer Lake home.

    One man and two young people were arrested on Wednesday after police searched a car and a home in Deer Lake. At around 2:30 p.m., RCMP and RNC officers with the JFO West team stopped a vehicle near Corner Brook. Two occupants of the car were taken into custody and a short time later, Deer Lake RCMP arrested 29 year old Zuhayr Ali of British Columbia. The two youths are from Alberta and are also facing drug trafficking charges. Yesterday, police found more than a kilo of cocaine, cell phones, cash and other items during the search of the Deer Lake home. The investigation is ongoing, with additional charges possible.
