Police busy handing out tickets on the west coast last weekend

    RCMP Cpl Jolene Garland says 2 drivers were found driving while suspended, 2 others were travelling without insurance or registration, and 4 drivers had their licenses suspended.

    RCMP Traffic Services West were busy this past weekend handing out numerous tickets and license suspensions, and seizing vehicles. Cpl Jolene Garland says it started Friday evening in Stephenville Crossing and  St. Fintan’s, then into Steady Brook, Reidville, and Trout River. She says 2 drivers were found driving while suspended, 2 others were travelling without insurance or registration, and 4 drivers had their licenses suspended. Cpl Garland says Early Saturday morning, RCMP stopped a suspicious vehicle on the Trans-Canada Highway near Steady Brook. Moments later, in the same area, another vehicle was stopped. A 28-year-old Gander woman was ticketed for driving without registration or insurance. All vehicles were seized and impounded.
