Government is advising NL seniors and their families that a telephone scam has been reported and the caller claims to be representing the Premier. The recipient is being asked to share their banking information in order to receive a senior’s bonus. Residents are reminded that government nor the Premier’s office would ever call to request such information in order to exchange money. If someone does receive such a call, they should immediately hang up. To report a scam, contact your local police.
