Parents to be are being told to put their name on a list for child care options.
On Bayfm’s the Plain Truth last week, the topic of discussion was “parenting.” Brenda Park is a parent programing coordinator with the Family Outreach Resource Centre here in Corner Brook. The centre has been here for 31 years. Park says work with families and children up to the age of 6, and also offer prenatal help for expectant mothers. Park says once a new baby arrives, the financial stress continues. She says parents are being told to put their name on a list for child care options. Park says participants range in age, backgrounds, and they have a lot of newcomers in the prenatal program. She says they are able to bring in health professionals to answer questions through the centre.
