Environment Canada is forecasting upwards of 5 cms of snow for Corner Brook and area today with more snow on the way tonight, tomorrow and Friday. It’s also the time of year when the overnight parking ban is in effect. Vehicles must be parked in driveways or on private property by midnight to allow for snow clearing operations. Mayor Linda Chaisson says this will remain in effect until late April or early May but will be lifted temporarily on New Year’s Eve. Violators can be ticketed and vehicles possibly towed due to parking on the sides of streets and roads overnight.
