Voters in NL will head to the polls on Tuesday (October 14th) to select a new Premier and an advance poll this week has counted over 25,000 ballots. According to Election NL, a total of 25,758 people voted during this week’s event. In Corner Brook, there were 3 places to vote and 585 people voted, 2 stations were open for Humber-Bay of Islands reporting 170 ballots and Humber-Gros Morne saw 925 people at 4 polling stations. In the Bay St. George area, at 4 locations in St.. George’s-Humber welcomed 482 residents to cast their ballots, and in Stephenville-Port au Port, 500 people marked their “x” at 5 different venues. Meanwhile, during the last provincial election in 2021, 33,584 votes were cast in the Advance Polls.
