One year later, still no movement on MOU dealing with Churchill Falls and opposition wants to know why

    Meanwhile, at this week’s announcement on the sale of alcohol from the States, Finance Minister Craig Pardy says the MOU has to be thoroughly analyzed.

    It’s been a year since then Premier Andrew Furey signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Premier of Quebec. It was all to do with Churchill Falls,  and something the opposition says has the potential to be truly transformative, helping to correct a decades-long, lopsided deal. Opposition Leader John Hogan  says the right amount of time has been taken to make sure we get the right deal. 

    Meanwhile, at this week’s announcement on the sale of alcohol from the States, Finance Minister Craig Pardy says the MOU has to be thoroughly analyzed. Pardy is set to deliver the province’s fall economic and fiscal update next week.
