Judges will be in Pasadena this week as part of the 31st edition of Communities in Bloom. They will be there from Thursday to Saturday and will rate the town from 1 to 5 blooms based on scoring. Wanda Wight is the Recreation and Community Services Director with the town of Pasadena. She says this is the 31st edition in the Atlantic populations category and Pasadena has been judged before. Wight says judges will be looking for tidiness and the cleanliness of public, commercial and residential areas. Meanwhile, a fire ban has been in place and warm, dry, weather has led to communities asking residents to limit and conserve outdoor water usage. Wight says judges are aware of the conditions in the area. Results of Communities in Bloom will be announced in Stratford, Ontario during October.
