Mayor Jim Parsons says there are a lot of milling and paving projects taking place in other parts of the city creating a snowball effect.
A major culvert replacement project is causing traffic delays and closures in Corner Brook and motorists are again reminded to avoid the area if possible. It’s in an area known as “Deep Gulch” right at the intersection of O’Connell Drive, University Drive and Mount Bernard Avenue. Add to this, Mayor Jim Parsons says there are a lot of milling and paving projects taking place in other parts of the city creating a snowball effect. Parsons says this work will continue throughout the week. He says barring any surprise the whole closure of O’Connell will switch to University Drive this weekend, and the plan is to get as much done as possible before Canada Day.
