NLC reports cannabis sales are up by over 22 percent

    NLC President and CEO Bruce Keating says “the NLC team is proud of the impact they are having in the province.” He says NLC is “an example to other provinces in developing a legal cannabis industry.” 

    Net earnings for the Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation are up $3.7 million for the fourth quarter, which ended on April 6th. For fiscal year 2024 alcohol and cannabis sales totalled $364.0 million compared to $349.3 million for the prior year, with cannabis sales seeing the largest increase over the prior year. NLC President and CEO Bruce Keating says “the NLC team is proud of the impact they are having in the province.” He says NLC is “an example to other provinces in developing a legal cannabis industry.”  Alcohol Beverage sales for the quarter were $62.2 million and cannabis sales totalled $22.7 million, an increase of 22.2 percent over last year’s fourth quarter.
