Each year, the Seniors Advocate delivers a report card on how well government is listening to seniors.
The province’s Seniors Advocate is spending some time on the west coast this week. Susan Walsh met with seniors yesterday in Benoits Cove, is in Cow Head this morning and will be in Rocky Harbour this afternoon. She says the Office of the Seniors Advocate receives 60 calls or emails from seniors every month. Walsh will be in Corner Brook tomorrow to speak with the Catholic Womens Association and the Rotary Club of Corner Brook. Each year, the Seniors Advocate delivers a report card on how well government is listening to seniors. 25 percent of the population in NL are people above the age of 65.
