NL Hydro and supervisor charged in connection with workplace fatal in Holyrood during 2023

    Meanwhile, NL Hydro issued a statement yesterday saying “This tragedy, involving one of our own, continues to weigh heavily on all of us at Hydro.”

    A supervisor and Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro have been charged after a fatal accident that happened in Holyrood during in August 2023 in Holyrood. This includes failure to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all workers under their supervision, and the company is facing nine other charges. Both are due to appear in St. John’s court August 21st. Meanwhile, NL Hydro issued a statement yesterday saying “This tragedy, involving one of our own, continues to weigh heavily on all of us at Hydro.”  The company is currently reviewing the charges and will address them through the appropriate court process.
