Fisheries and Oceans is planning on building a breakwater and wharf in Lark Harbour for small crafts. The proposal was recently approved by government with certain conditions. Lark Harbour Mayor Wade Park says they’ve been waiting for this for a while and it will be safer for boats. He says the project is ready to go and he’s seen the drawings. The Mayor says it will mean a lot to the area. The proponent must uphold all commitments made in the environmental assessment to control the effects of the project on the environment.
