The official start date for automated pickup is January 12th but residents can use the new carts as soon as they receive them.
Corner Brook homeowners will soon begin to see the direct home delivery of their new garbage bins starting this week. The city is getting closer to starting a new automated waste collection program in the new year. Waste collection will be separated with two recycling streams, which along with household waste will be picked up by an automated arm. The official start date for automated pickup is January 12th but residents can use the new carts as soon as they receive them. Carts will be placed just within the property line of each household so it won't interfere with regular garbage and recycling collection. For more information go to cornerbrook.com.
