This is Municipal Awareness Week and there’s an opportunity to learn more about what city workers do at the Corner Brook Civic Centre this Friday. School tours are taking place throughout the week. Mayor Jim Parsons says it will open to the public at noon and it includes displays and demonstrations. The day will also include a BBQ and posters submitted by elementary school children will all be on display. We should find out today who among grade six students that applied will be Mayor for the Day.
